President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscowâs interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries, an assertion that prompted alarmed White House officials to limit access to the remarks to an unusually small number of people, according to three former officials with knowledge of the matter.
Of American civil servants:
âI want to know whoâs the person, whoâs the person who gave the whistleblower the information? Because thatâs close to a spy,â he continued. âYou know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.â
last i heard 45 was still using an unsecured cell phone. thereâs really no point in sending secret messages. just speak into the air and poof an immediate conference call with russian and chinese intelligence agencies
Under protection of the federal government due to threats from the federal government. I said upthread that Trump put a contact on this person. There will be MAGAts who will absolutely try to obey this order.
âOver the past three years, Trump has had 11 phone calls with Putin, according to The New York Times. The content of those conversations has mostly been kept in secret â and the Kremlin wants to keep it that way.â
His repeated, increasingly unhinged rants about Adam Schiffâs âtraitorous speechâ are really hilarious in context; he keeps insisting that Schiff misled Congress by lying about the transcript and invented a fake version of it to smear him, etc and called for his resignation on those grounds.
The reality: Adam Schiff was mocking Trump on the Congress floor. He literally did an SNL-style comedy routine of Trump on the phone with Ukraine as if he was a crappy mob boss: âI hear what you want. I have a favor I want from you, though. And Iâm going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good. I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent. Understand? Lots of it, on this and on that.â
Thatâs it. Trump really, really hates to be made fun of.
People who were actively warning about fascism this whole time have been whitewashed out of history by people who are waking up to the problem under Trump. They think the kooky leftists are the boy who cried wolf. But there really is a wolf, and now that theyâve seen it they still think the boy was lying.
Just like itâs not murder unless you say loudly into a recording, âI am doing a murder nowâ while you kill the person.
