Re the takedown of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, only a nincompoop would truly be taken in by the WH’s obviously staged “situation room” photo, supposedly taken during the operation. Compare the photo to that of Obama and staff during the operation to take down Osama bin Laden:
Trump is trying to look menacing but just ends up looking severely constipated. The jumbled mess of network cables makes everything look messy and disorganized. It lacks any of the tension or dynamism of the Obama photo for sure. They may as well be watching the piss tape.
And Trump making a huge deal out of this is just laughable. He’s just so desperate for some kind of show of his how tough he is.
A fast food burger diet and being caught flat-footed when lying tends to do that.

The Guardian points out that although Trump gave a ‘cinematic’ account of the raid, including his description of the man crying and screaming, he was only provided overhead, silent footage. So he made all that up.
