The nihilist party agenda

“What I want from a president is the rest of the world to look at him and go, ‘Don’t mess with that guy, he will get even,’” he said.

Franks then went on to elaborate about what he does not want to see from a presidential candidate.

“I don’t want kinder, gentler,” he said. “I don’t want some female that wants her agenda.”

Don’t mess with that guy but go ahead and mess with the country.

I’m not sure these trumpies qualify as Nazis quite yet but they sure as hell are the frigging “baddies”.

Yeah, but his election was never about misogyny! Fake news! /s

  1. It was an EU election, not a British election.

  2. Turnout for the EU elections is always very low, which increases the influence of small-but-passionate parties.

  3. Both major parties performed poorly, but minor parties of both left and right increased their vote share.

Oh I see, UK elections TO the EU.

There has been a lot of FUD spread around by leave supporters and one of the main lies you hear is them describing MEPs as those ‘faceless, unelected bureaucrats in the EU’ when of course we do elect them. Then again, some leave voters aren’t burdened with an over-abundance of schooling.

What the hell are they seeing when they look at Trump?
On what planet does any political leader look at Trump and go “Whelp, better not mess with him” instead of “I’ve just thought of six ways I can mess with that idiot and he won’t even notice five of them. And the one he does notice, he’ll pretty much forget about the next time I pay him a compliment.”?

Even when I accept these people’s stated reasons at face value, I still can’t really understand them.

They’ll just magically rope them into their little experiment while demanding they take it or else. I kid you not, right wingers will claim they’re trying to “save them thar liburawls” while picking their pocket.

Hey GOP… how is that conservative led supreme court Trump gave you working out for you lately?

Yes, but it also upheld some key parts of the Indiana law, so not all good news there. Lots of bad, in fact.

The good part is these Western US right-wingers are so full of Freedum™ that they have trouble organizing anything more complicated than a weekend camping trip. So it’s all bluster. They do great making growly-agreement sounds at a rally and chanting a pre-processed line, but if you start to get the farmers, ranchers, hunters, developers, realtors, wanna-be oil barons, etc. together in a room, they can’t actually agree on anything and get as pissed at each other as they are at teh libs.

While the passing of obviously unconstitutional laws in the hopes of overturning Roe v. Wade are a serious issue, the state of abortion access in a lot of states is already so bad that a ban would hardly make practical a difference to many residents. Alabama got a lot of coverage for their ban, but they only have three clinics for over 4M people (california has 10 times the population and about 170 times the abortion providers). A lot of women already have to travel out of state for an abortion.

As with many other things: the current wave of abortion restriction is not a new thing created by Trump alone. Instead, it’s the expansion of a situation that was already in place for poor/Black/Latinx women to the White middle class.

That’s absolutely awful for Ohio and Michigan and will very nearly guarantee Trump’s re-election.
