In all the campuses I’m familiar with, the politically conservative faction is manned (gendered term deliberately chosen) by engineers and led by lawyers.
I bet his “vacuum cleaner” was a cover for an escape plan using an armored flying suit.
There’s nothing about how wonderful Pinochet was?
Yep. They believe everything is the way it really is, except GOD put it there last Tuesday 6000 years ago just to dick with us.
Sounds right. These types rail on about Women’s Studies this and Art History that, and demand that everyone study something practical like computers or engineering.
Strangely enough, when I was an engineering graduate student, I was often the only American in my classes, and one of the few in my graduating class. A lot of the software jobs are going to H1B Visa people (from what I hear… I’m not a software person). These alt-right morons think they’re entitled to these jobs, but are unwilling and unable to do the work.
He’s probably the lab course in PoliSci 211
He might also be covered in Economics 234: Advanced Libertarianism, when they explain that, as long as you have free markets, you don’t need to worry about annoying things like social freedoms.
I retired after forty-some years in electronic engineering and went back to school (physics and math) for my own enlightenment. We interviewed a lot of MSEEs, but precious few were native-born in the USA and disproportionately many of those were “minorities” of one sort or another.
The literature on the subject suggests that of those who have the brains and willingness to pursue an MSEE, the Anglos prefer law, finance, etc. over engineering. This may go a ways to account for the amount of melanin I see around here and saw in my kids’ graduating classes (two of them also have MSEEs.)
Many of these are second generations. Also look at the authors’ names in scientific journals. Not too many Billy-Bobs.
