I found myself wanting to know more details about the tank (how did it skootch over? Neutral steering?)
Oh, though you could probably guess, the theme for Cowboy Bebop has the same title as the story.
So was the tank a BOLO? maybe an OGRE?

If the story is about a tank why are the picture not of a tank?
It is a SU-152 self-propelled heavy howitzer. A main difference is that it does not have a turret but a fixed casemate. The turret is mentioned in the story.
