I’m pretty ambivalent about that one. And I’m wondering too how many people considered “subhuman” by neo-Nazis have already been punched or worse in response. There’s not much that they want more than for the “race war” to finally start.

And this is what is wrong with the whole representative ideal. Ideally, they run on a platform, we vote for them, and then we go to work, pay taxes, and in general get on with our lives, while they are supposed to behave according to the platform on which they ran, in Feinstein’s case the DNC platform.
In practice however, I am supposed to monitor her behavior more closely than I would an untrained puppy, and call her 3x per day to tell her what to do. Seriously what is the freaking point?

The ACLU does a lot of amazing work, but let’s not forget about the CCR. An organization with an amazing track record that litigated many of the cases around Guantanamo Bay under both President Bush and President Obama.
