A round up of Trumpian events šŸ–•šŸŠšŸ¤”

What a load of bituminous crap.

Latest pessimistic theories:

Trump is probably going to try to fire Mueller, but he canā€™t do it directly; he needs to order Rosenstein or Sessions to do it for him, although he could just fire them if they refused. Sessions is technically recused, but he already violated that when he helped to fire Comey.

Both of those are of uncertain loyaltyā€¦Rosenstein appears to be of the Pence faction, but Sessions is hard to read. He was one of Trumpā€™s earliest and most loyal supporters, heā€™s a committed white supremacist and heā€™s wrapped up in the Russia stuff. But thereā€™s been a steady stream of ā€œTrump is mad at Sessionsā€ stories lately. However, Iā€™m not sure if those are real, or if they were planted by the administration to make the DoJ appear more independent.

Anyway, once Trump tries to fire Mueller, Sessions and Rosenstein will have to declare their loyalties. If itā€™s Trump, then the Pence faction is probably toast and weā€™re locked in for Bannonā€™s apocalypse. If they resist Trump, then we may see Mueller build a case and the Pence-GOP try to impeach if they can get Trumpā€™s grip on the base to loosen at all.

Or: Once Marc Kasowitz tells Trump to fire Mueller.

ā€œKasowitzā€™s claimed role in the Bharara firing appears to be a sign that the New York lawyer has been inserting himself into matters of governance and not just advising the president on personal legal mattersā€.

Yeah this was my immediate reaction to the news. Even including all possible existing players involved in the mine the best estimate I saw is that this mine is benefiting under one hundred people from the CEO down.

Also of very important note: 400 people in the area applied for those 70 positions.

Considering that Trump fired Comey in the exact way you describe, and then immediately got called on it within hours they probably wonā€™t try the same trick twice. Then again, they are by all appearances idiots.

Those same 400 will be looking for work soon.

Good to see the National Review write that openly about Trumpā€™s odiousness (once I got past the tedious discussion of etymology).

For 0.03% of Trumpā€™s proposed defense spending increase those 400 people could earn their comfortable miner salary.

Well, theyā€™re not gonna say itā€™s because he was mean to HRC this time.

They appear to be going for ā€œMueller spoke to Trump a few days before he was appointed, therefore heā€™s irretrievably taintedā€.

This was surprising. Did Ivanka take over the Twitter account?

Not too surprising. His base looks at that as an example of Islamic Terrorism and proof that Muslims should be kept out of the country. Itā€™s definitely not about the victims with them.
