A round up of Trumpian events 🖕🍊🤡

Not only that, but literally no one walks along the endless stretches of barren wastelands that make up the US-Mexico border. The whole conceit of needing the wall is that it’s impossible to police because the horrible environmental conditions and length.

Maybe this is what he was referring to when, after questions about the G-19 reaffirmation of climate action, he said “we might do something with solar”. /snark

So all we need to do to address climate change and energy independence under Trump is to attach all solutions as riders - literally and politically - to something punitive and xenophobic? Is there a way we can convince Trump that black people really like coal?

I recall seeing in the last few month a trebuchet was found that was used to hurl bags of weed over the wall. But I would imagine there was a certain protocol such as make sure your buddy is at the landing zone and not a random hiker. Doesn’t change the fact that his crayon drawing on a pee soaked Russian bar napkin is laughable.

In the wake of the U.S. election, a secretive data firm hired by Donald Trump’s campaign boasted that it has been using quizzes for years to gather personal information about millions of voters. Its goal: the creation of digital profiles that can predict—and possibly exploit—Americans’ values, anxieties, and political leanings.

Oh, goody; yet another reason to sue them…

Funny. This incompetence just of proves the point of exactly why people were so against this from the start .

The National Review is having a lot of trouble staying on board with all the Russian revelations.

Admittedly, they’ve pretty much been #nevertrumpers from the start, but they seemed willing to make a go of it once the House, Senate and White House were all in Republican hands. But people like Rush Limbaugh would say that they’re as establishment conservative as it gets.

All this, in roughly 6 months.

He did just just say how he’s done more than any president ever in the last 5 months. That article was a good summary of what that really means.

(Kind of appropriate given how he did a complete reversal on his support for 45 not long after inauguration.)

“Fox News host: the White House is lying about Russia”

Shep, to Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace: “It’s pilin’ up. … We’re still not clean on this, Chris. If there’s nothing there — and that’s what they tell us: They tell us there’s nothing to this and nothing came of it, there’s a nothingburger, it wasn’t even memorable, didn’t write it down, didn’t tell you about it, because it wasn’t anything so I didn’t even remember it — with a Russian interpreter in the room at Trump Tower?”

“If all of that, why all these lies? Why is it lie after lie after lie? … The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling. And there are still people who are out there who believe we’re making it up. And one day they’re gonna realize we’re not and look around and go: Where are we, and why are we getting told all these lies?”

The sound of a 'murica changing channels must have been deafening.

NPR’s Fresh Air interview about Trump advisor and GOP insider Roger Stone. (There’s a new documentary about him; they interview the filmmakers.)

tl;dr: It’s all a big fun game that Stone likes winning by any means necessary, and mostly he has won it.
