Hell, it’s a great idea in their eyes. It hurts universities (‘playgrounds of the left’), grad students (‘socialist millennials who need to learn their place’) and science (‘shills for the climate change hoax’).

Their self-righteousness blinds them to long term consequences, and when those do arrive they’ll blame them on Democrats/‘the left’/RINOs/BLM/etc like Fox, Rush and Alex told them to. For much of the base it seems its more about sticking it to the nebulous enemy ‘liberal’, no matter the cost.
