A round up of Trumpian events šŸ–•šŸŠšŸ¤”

Washingtonā€™s two U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell (D) and Patty Murray (D) have demanded to know why the Department of Education has deactivated a website dedicated to empowering and assisting students with disabilities and their families.
Cantwell and Murray said in a Friday press release that newly sworn-in Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos must ā€œprovide an immediate and detailed explanation for why the resource website for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) has disappeared.ā€

In light of this, and out of worries about the White Houseā€™s ability to keep secrets, some of our spy agencies have begun withholding intelligence from the Oval Office. Why risk your most sensitive information if the president may ignore it anyway? A senior National Security Agency official explained that NSA was systematically holding back some of the ā€œgood stuffā€ from the White House, in an unprecedented move. For decades, NSA has prepared special reports for the presidentā€™s eyes only, containing enormously sensitive intelligence. In the last three weeks, however, NSA has ceased doing this, fearing Trump and his staff cannot keep their best SIGINT secrets.

ā€¦

Whatā€™s going on was explained lucidly by a senior Pentagon intelligence official, who stated that ā€œsince January 20, weā€™ve assumed that the Kremlin has ears inside the SITROOM,ā€ meaning the White House Situation Room, the 5,500 square-foot conference room in the West Wing where the president and his top staffers get intelligence briefings. ā€œThereā€™s not much the Russians donā€™t know at this point,ā€ the official added in wry frustration.

Iā€™m sure that there would have been a deafening howl of disapproval if Obama had not accompanied him to the Tomb of the Unknownā€¦

So what is the supposed benefit that the Democrats get by letting a slimeball like Manchin stay in the party? He discredits the rest of them and reliably votes with the GOP anyway.

He did vote against DeVos. He is in favour of public education. Iā€™m hoping that part of this that voting against Trumpā€™s cabinet is a symbolic gesture only anyway, and his state went big for Trump: 68% vs. 26% for Clinton. WV seems to be an odd state.

This guy did pretty strongly in the Democratic primary.

National Democrats are NOT popular. Gotta be a coal man to win.

The guy he ran against last time was even worse. Lesser of two evils?

Iā€™d never vote for Manchin, but Iā€™d never live in WV either.

When classified documents are on full display during dinner service at a private club, calling them ā€œillegal leaksā€ makes it sound like the President is intentionally breaking the law.

Iā€™d like to see California do what is legal to do in many jurisdictions with regard to landlord/tenant negotiations: if the landlord refuses to fix and/or pay for fixing something in a rental unit, then the tenant has the right to withhold from their rent the amount needed to pay for the repair themselves.

Californiaā€™s share of federal taxes remaining in the state to pay for this infrastructure breach would be quite a wake-up call.

Iā€™m sure this is an issue raise by modern transparency and communication. Way harder to be Oz behind a curtain than it used to be.

Not that POTUS45 isnā€™t the most embarassing one if we did have comparable info on the past POTUSs.
