NPR was a little too all-in on this story. Yes they gave disclaimers, but the tone of voice was very enthusiastic.
I’m hoping Melz is right, and that this is Mueller’s version of an overly-specific denial, saying almost nothing about the facts of the matter while letting the heat out of the media frenzy.

So he proposes a deal that… maintains the status quo in exchange for wall funding? On an issue he has already reneged on in the past when 4x the funding was on the table for his stupid wall?
This must be some super advanced art of the deal shit.
With horseface already blasting him for this proposal it makes me wonder how quickly he’ll decide to just scrap it. My bet is he changes his mind by the end of the weekend.

Ugh, I kinda think the Dems should just give in, but very loudly and begrudgingly. The wall is terrible and wasteful, but at some point so is this game of chicken over it. They should literally say, on CSPAN: “Ok fuckface, you really want an incredibly wasteful monument to racial paranoia - which will never get out from under legal battles - to be your legacy? fine. fuck you, the piece of shit will never be built anyway. And president Ocasio-Cortez will make a hearty meal of ording it torn down in 2024. Enjoy watching that from prison, you sack of shit.”

He “offers” temporary protection for DACA and TPS, which the courts have already provided, so he cannot shut them down regardless. He gives up absolutely nothing. He expects to get his full funding (which of course, this 5.7b is not even close) in exchange for nothing at all. The nazi wing has already weighed in with outrage at the idea of giving up anything, which proves that they are idiots also. And for a change, it appears the dems have decided not to be idiots and rejected this steaming meadow muffin out of hand. And so, this shutdown continues into month #2.
