Caveat: it’s the best seller among books about “censorship and politics”. Which is still weird, but honestly, I’m guessing a lot of people are just curious. The news keeps reporting on QAnon nutters waving signs around at Trump rallies and Notch just came out as a QAnon truther, so if you want to know what the loonies are talking about (if just for a laugh), it’s easier to get a book with it summarized than to start delving into Reddit and 4chan threads.

Two things here…

  1. What kind of monster doesn’t realize kids are traumatized by being forcibly separated from their parents?
  2. Nielsen is doing her absolute damndest throughout this clip to conflate parents sending their kids across the border alone with DHS’s policy of actively tearing families apart when they arrive at the border and legally request asylum.

There are a bunch of other clips posted in that thread. The entire hearing is a complete omnishambles of dissembling and blame-shifting on Nielsen’s part.

I think Margaret Kimberley would be greatly offended by the implication that she’s a Democrat. She’s substantially to the left of that party.

She isn’t “speaking for Democrats”; she’s describing her perception of the situation. I think that her perception on this issue is accurate; the establishment Dems have no intention of removing Trump from office by impeachment, but intend to use Russiagate for electoral marketing.
