A round up of Trumpian events šŸ–•šŸŠšŸ¤”

Yeah, how dare she pronounce her name without the ā€œwhite peopleā€ accent? It’s almost like she is not ashamed of being not-white!!

I think the point that Hitchens is making is best deployed against the very things that you are listing. Like, if someone who advocates genocide is offended that I say we shouldn’t advocate genocide, I’m inclined to think, ā€œI don’t really care how you feel about that.ā€

But what’s annoying about that quotation is that it is taken by some to be a pious position; as if disregarding other people’s feelings was a good thing in itself. It should be seen as a negative, something you only do if the situation warrants it. The last part ā€œI’m not running for anythingā€ is very important. It’s fine (in a personal utility maximization sense) to be a jerk if you don’t care if anyone likes you, but you are still a jerk. Most of the people who would publicly echo Hitchens’ quotation do desperate care if they are liked and feel entitled to be liked despite being jerks.

I don’t really know what I think of Hitchens, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a genuinely misanthrope who really didn’t care what people thought of it, and if he wasn’t be hypocritical or deceitful when he said that.

…and she wonders why she’s having a difficult time getting sponsors back…

Because when Congresscritter X starts screaming about trump stealing their money it will easy to track what ails them where and why.

I’m never seen any proof other than Hitchens being a misanthrope. He’s basically the one that laid the groundwork for the arguments made by the rising far-right populists in the western world, and he always cared more about being interesting and provocative over accuracy.

What a lazy, whiny asshole. (I’m biting my tongue here.)

America isn’t white, and it never has been.

It’s actually good in a way to see these kinds of desperate backlash, because they show that the days of presumptuous white center-staging are numbered.

Why do I have this feeling that the report has already been sanitized?

Trump angry at Zombie McCain for not sending a ā€˜thank you’ letter/note

It’s like, there’s this part of me that says, ā€œCome on now, clearly he was saying that those surviving McCain should have thanked him. He didn’t say ā€˜John McCain didn’t thank me’ he said, ā€˜I didn’t get a thank you.ā€™ā€

But then I think about Trump for a while. And I wonder… Does he know what death is?

Well… he did make his own father’s eulogy all about himself.

Considering the subject, it’s a valid question.

Do any of us though? Death is such a personal thing, it’s different for each of us. I hope Donald gets to experience it for himself really, really soon.

The strange thing about his latest ranting against McCain is that it has been reported that he was reading from a script. He’s playing to an audience of McCain haters somewhere.

Politicizing the military. Dividing again.

Maybe she thinks she’s losing sponsors cause she’s not being racist enough… ā€œI’m racist, and certainly they’d like to cater to my demographic… so if I’m MORE racist, they’ll come running back!ā€

It’s Trump. If he says the public can see it that’s means the public will never see it.

John McCain was a prick and I’d hate to have a Capitol Hill building named after him. Where are all the dems that fought against his policy choices? Are they going to go along with the name change now? Spineless. But, of course it makes sense this is coming from Mr Schumer.

It’s already named for a prick.
