A round up of Trumpian events 🖕🍊🤡

I mean really we gotta vote this man out. They don’t have to be literally convicted as a criminal for us to say they don’t deserve our vote. “elect me! I do corrupt and shady stuff but I was never convicted” shouldn’t be a winning campaign strategy…

And once he’s out of office the southern district can throw the book at him for his financial crimes and tax evasion. That should be incentive to vote him out. To rip him of his presidential immunity.

These days there such a nihilistic desire to burn the entire thing to the ground in the Trump strongholds that I’m very worried about there being at least 4 more years of this shit. (And his transformation of the judiciary thanks to the machinations of McTurtle will screw us over for generations.) Criminality? Who cares! It’s all a Deep State Fake News Hillary Radical Left Muslim Sharia Zionist conspiracy! MAGA! He’s one of us! He’s just being persecuted for telling it like it is!

Fuck everybody that voted for this fucking guy.

Here’s the thing. We don’t neccisarily know that there aren’t any more indictments. Barr’s letter just indicates that Mueller isn’t seeking additional indictments on top of what’s already been issued by the Grand Juries.

Grand Jury indictments are issued under seal, they can only be unsealed/released with a court order by the presiding judge. They’re typically only released just prior to an arrest, or at the completion of said Grand Jury.

So its entirely possible there are more indictments and charges pending from the Mueller investigation proper. They’ve just already been issued, and haven’t yet been unsealed for some reason.

Just as its entirely possible that there aren’t. We don’t know, and we won’t until some one else gets a look at that report, or arrests happen.

As with Nixon its expected Trump would have been listed as an un-indicted co-conspirator. If the “collusion” happened you would likely be looking at a criminal conspiracy. And smart money was on Mueller looking at conspiracy to defraud the US. So there would be indictments specifically related to that crime, and multiple people indicted as a group. And if Trump were involved in a criminal capacity, he would likely be listed as a conspirator in those indictments. Though not indicted or charged himself.

Right wing media is already presenting it as such. Using the “no further indictments” detail to present it as a total vindication. Reporting as if they’ve already seen or know what’s in the report, and I do mean that. Clicked on Fox News to see how they were responding last night, and if I wasn’t already aware that the report only goes to Barr, I might have thought they were discussing its contents. Kind of towing right up to the line of claiming they’d actually seen it, to present what they were saying as authoritative.

WEIRDLY there’s this undercurrent of assuming the report is bad for Trump and that there’s more charges to be laid, potentially on Trump. Amid all the vindication talk and flip flopping on whether Mueller’s evil and biased or if he did a good job and cleared the president. There was a lot of faffing about over how people shouldn’t assume its valid. And how the report should have been issued to Trump’s personal attorneys first. How we need to hear “both sides”, and noone should believe anything until Trump issues a formal response to a report we won’t have seen when he does. Along with a lot of talk of how when additional charges are filed they won’t be valid. The “when” being a base assumption.

The non-insane news is focusing on the process and importance of the report being released or handed over to congress. And as a base assumption is running with the rumored expectation among those allowed to know, that it doesn’t contain a head shot against Trump. And likely doesn’t contain any more indictments. But that it will be very damaging to Trump and more charges are coming from other avenues.

I know we all were hoping that trump’s associations with Russians would take him down, but in a certain level I feel like this whole time trump himself has been steering that narrative by constantly repeating “no collusion”. But we who were paying attention didn’t like him for many reasons since before he ran, and I’m sure he’d love if this was the only question. If no one paid attention to paying off porn stars, foreign immoluments, numerous types of business fraud, or heck maybe even mob contacts in his real estate. This man’s hands are far from clean.

If he does clear this particular collusion charge, I don’t think it’s because he was innocent but because he covered his tracks like a mob boss all along. Michael Cohen said as much that that’s how he operates: IE: he suggests what he wants done or hires people who know what he wants without specific direction. “Wouldn’t it be nice if the Russians found hillary’s missing emails” may have been in part a joke, but I get the sense that’s how he does a lot of things.and it may have been a signal to the Russians that that was in fact what he wanted to happen.

I’m a bit embarrassed that I’m obsessing about all this on boingboing. I quit Facebook in part to get away from this and now here I am venting again online. The issues just feel too huge to not talk about.

In explaining the president’s sudden announcement, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “President Trump likes Chairman Kim and he doesn’t think these sanctions will be necessary.”

Did I miss something, or has the White House has been awfully quiet since Friday?

Is it possible there’s something problematc in the report and they can’t figure out how to spin it? Did mueller say that the president obstructed justice? Am I clutching at straws? (Don’t answer that, I know I am. Let me live inside this dream a little longer.)

Trump is a devil. Beto for prez

Maybe. Barr said he needed another day to work on the summary, when he originally said it would be released this weekend. ETA: I guess it is due tonight.

I am a bit mystified at such a nothing burger, given how much info was public knowledge. Trump tower meeting, the Trump Tower Moscow project, ties to organized crime…

He’s a senile misogynist, white-supremacist and extremely nasty, but we can’t prosecute him for that.

Mueller runs a tight ship. But now the report is done and exchanging hands.

Vulnerable to leaks.

I will be checking the torrent sites nightly next few weeks.

My guess is The Real Report™ will never see the light of day. Dems will get a “public version” soon enough after fighting tooth and nail. Me? I’ll never believe a word of it. The FBI hasn’t done their job.

And how soon till Mueller is trump’s BFF?
