I’m not denying her agency or commenting directly on her appearance. She wasn’t trafficked or tricked. She’s made a series of hard-nosed and cynical decisions to get out of Slovenia and end up where she has. I’m almost certain she’s conferring with her lawyers in NYC at this moment, making sure that she’ll get every last penny of whatever severance/divorce agreement she drew up as a condition of agreeing to support his political career and stay with him in the White House (something she didn’t sign up for in the original deal).
Yeah, that was always a BS narrative. They never even questioned the idea that her “Be Best” campaign was being run by the wife of a proud and life-long bully.

They are flooding a radio station in Philly (which plays supposedly relaxing music) with ads promoting their lineup of scarefolk and books full of conspiracy theories. It’s downright creepy.

That ellides the fact that there was, indeed, record turnout in terms of percentage of the voting-age population that participated in this election.
It also ignores the fact that people are making a big deal out of Biden’s record-breaking vote count. Either neither is notable, or both are.

I’m pretty sure Slovenians would be offended even at being called Eastern Europe rather than Central Europe! It’s a major industrial centre with a long history of science and technology, known in the late 20th century for its flavours of industrial techno and metal.
I think they traded borders with Italy a few times in the 20th century so the city that James Joyce lived in while living in Italy is now on Slovenia. It’s not Transylvania or something, but then, neither is Transylvania.
Skarfolk books? Creepy? May I recommend Scarfolk Council I just recently bought their tourist map for uninvited guests.

Thanks! I think my mind merged this with the constant fear-mongering conducted by the GOP and came up with scarefolk. If only we could create a place for them (with little political power) that’s stuck in the '50s, like that movie Pleasantville.
