Actual questions from my Green Card questionnaire

Reminds me of the blood drive run by a local radio station. They were giving away tickets to some heavy metal band. The room was full of folks whose clean and sober status was sketchy at best. Of course no one admitted to doing drugs or having wanton sex.

Almost makes www.xenu.net/archive/oca/oca.html appear normal.

Is there a way to learn when each of the exclusionary pretexts became incorporated into US law and thus into the form?

Thanks for clearing that up.

I still think “moral turpitude” is a ridiculous way of phrasing something like that, and that it sounds as arbitrary as morality in general.

wikipedia is clearer.

In many ways, it boils down to “would you trust this applicant?”, “is he or she a good person”? but with concrete objective requirements.

So you don’t think we should hold our own citizens (and government agents) to the standard of not torturing or not committing extrajudicial killings? I’m all for a higher standard for immigrants as long as the lower standard for citizens is above the level of accepting torture and/or extrajudicial killings.

Putting words in the mouths of people won’t get you very far here. Have a nice time with it.

I’m not putting words in your mouth. It’s the natural conclusion of what you’re saying. Not torturing and not killing extrajudicially is a binary condition. Either you do it or you don’t. It’s not possible for one group to not torture more than another group doesn’t torture. There’s no way to hold green card applicants to a higher standard on these issues unless we lower standards for our own citizens and government agents.

Sure you are because your conclusions are not the only conclusions. I’m not interested in being your straw man so go troll someone else. Even better, take it to reddit.

Yeah, sure, I’m a troll. Look at my comment history.

I made a sarcastic joke with some truth in the humor and you chose to take it seriously. Then I responded to your comments with disagreement. And instead of actually correcting any misunderstanding I might have of your position, you just call me a troll. If that’s your definition of a troll, you must meet a lot of them. I think they’re also called “other people.”

OMG, how could I ever have failed to read your “sarcastic humor” and treated it as a straight up comment? My word!

Sometimes legal terms just sound stuck in the Middle Ages. Tortfeasor. Intestacy. Vexatious litigant. Damnification. Executrix.

You’re telling me that if I get involved with the legal system, I can get dominated and humiliated recreationally?

Ironic that many US government officials would be denied entry if they answered honestly (torture, extra-judicial killings).

Also, what does it mean to force sterilization of a “main”?

On average, immigrants are better people than natural born citizens.

Nope, sorry. An executrix is a female executor, as in wills.

Have you ever … PREVENTED a woman from undergoing an abortion against her free choice …

I think they meant “moral derpitude.”
