I grew up in the 'burbs, and never saw a cockroach in my life, until I
worked the night shift security on campus while at school.
I was patrolling a basement steam room at 2 am. I opened the door,
and I swear 6-8 huge cockroaches put down their playing cards and
scurried to the walls. I had to walk by them and their hissing cat-calls.
