If that is the case, then all Disney had to do to win this round and look like the best company ever is to figure out a way to lower their admission price by the amount of the tolls being paid. It’s a net zero for them, but most patrons would view it as Disney benevolence in the face of DeSantis ass-hattery.

The population in the south let alone the declining wealth would end up hurting Disney in the future. Why not rebuild it in a much friendlier environment where folks from NYC, Toronto, DC, Boston and Chicago can have an easier time going to it?
There are theme parks already in the North, but they are far less profitable because they typically are only open from May to September/October because of snow and cold. Yes, global warming and all, but the way that manifests seems to hsve even more winter storms even if the average temperature is rising. Plus, where are you going to put it? There was a plan in the 1990s to create “Disney’s America”, an American-history themed Disney park in the Washington DC suburbs (probably the furthest north feasible) but locals hated the idea and it was eventually abandoned.

19 states take E-Z Pass, but you can only access that system (outside of FL-GA-NC) with a SunPass PRO. However, SunPass (all types) can also be used in TX, OK, and NE, which are not E-Z Pass compatible, apparently.
Having looked into this, I’m good with never signing onto the SunPass system. Not a club I would want to join.

His literal best friend, who he’s already tried to contract for other toll-road jobs, will miraculously find himself in charge of this project. A toll-road has been proposed for decades along the west coast of Florida, but the voters have never ever wanted it. But guuuuuess what?!? Yup, Meatball Ron’s best friend was awarded a contract to build the road through some of the states most endangered, in need of protecting n lnd… as of yet, several years into his reign, the project has been blocked.
DeSantis LOVES LOVES LOVES using the powers of office to rule by fiat an further enrich his already rich friends.

Disneyland Paris usually manages to stay open in the snow, although yeah, really cold weather isn’t great for outdoor attractions.
If they were really determined to open a year-round park in a colder climate they could take a page from Lotte World, Korea, which has half of their park located inside what’s basically a big domed sports arena-type structure.
