I honestly hope all of them found wonderful partners, like Jim has done, and eventually told off their snooty parents.

Pertwee was brought over first (1971-2) but it wasn’t widespread or lasted too long. A few years later Tom Baker was brought over originally for syndicated US TV but the editing for commercials and semi serialized format wasn’t successful (1976-77). Then it got repackaged again for PBS in both single episode and full story formats, where it became a staple (1978ish)
