No major mistakes, anyway. Obama (or her husband) would have done better, OTOH I think she did better than most other Democrats have done in the debates I’ve watched religiously over the last 40 years. (And having said that now I feel really old.)

You do not need to know any French to live and work in Toronto. Wrong province, unless you move to Ottowa. Getting citizenship used to have French fluency heavily weighted, but I haven’t looked at the requirements in a long time. Mais, je parle Français, so…

I was once on a TV program broadcast from the Chicago studio where the first ever presidential debate (Kennedy-Nixon 1960) was held. It was pretty awesome knowing that.
If you ever feel like revisiting history, the first debate between Bush Senior, Bill Clinton, and Ross Perot is worth watching. You get the impression that Bush and Perot were filmed in black and white (maybe Perot in infrared), and Clinton in color. It is really remarkable how Clinton pops out of the screen. If later Democratic candidates studied this, they didn’t learn anything from it.
