Maybe y’all can manage to move to the sprawl-tastic Austin metroplex. It’s safe here to wear face masks and have Bernie stickers. It’s crazy expensive though, the closer you get to the center of town.
My dear sweet retired neighbor parked her newish car in Dripping Springs on Mercer Street. The car had one “Beto” sticker. It was deeply keyed on all four sides when she got back from listening to live music.
If’n our gubner signs that dang bill, it’s a further signpost that happy mutants might need to be looking for somewhere more hospitable to live.

…honestly, I’d find that considerably less disconcerting as it would reduce the cognative dissonance between the faith I was nominally raised around and ( waves vaguely ) whatever is going on here.
Going to slot this sort of thing as ‘The Tribe of Gun’ and move on.
