Did he sign the paperwork in fresh snake blood?
Later today, Brainworm Failson will throw his support behind Il Douche. Not that it wasn’t the entire raison d’etre for his campaign (and for those funding it) all along.
I’ve always maintained that RFK the Lesser’s support is just smoke and mirrors. He’ll just be another albatross tied with Vance around Trumpy’s neck.
Those poor brainworms. They starved to death.
KENNEDY BEAR 2024
A Super Pac supporting Kennedy told Reuters on Wednesday that Kennedy wanted a deal with Donald Trump in which he endorsed his Republican rival in exchange for a job in a potential Trump administration.
GOP#1: ‘Why are people saying we’re weird?’
GOP#2: ‘Dunno, hold on… I’ve got a guy with a worm in his brain who dumped a dead bear in Central Park on the phone - he’s asking to join the campaign.’
I guess their issues are unified in that they resent not being recognized as royalty despite coming from connected wealthy families? Anger at Democratic leadership? Trump is gleefully pro-industry and anti-conservation on every environmental topic.
Any acknowledgement by Trump will only last until the first poll that shows him not gaining from RFKjr dropping out.
They’re united by nihilism. There is nothing at either of their cores other than a gaping void that seeks attention and validation.
Especially if most of RFK’s support came from contrarians who were just trying to use their votes as a show of no-confidence in the two major parties.
In a family I know the wife is a huge RFK Jr fan and the husband is a Democratic campaign strategist. I know there’s already been some tension regarding her support of Kennedy but it’s going to go to the next level if she follows Kennedy’s lead in his expected endorsement of Trump.
Just like he said he should do, 24 years ago…
Watch the whole show, but here’s the pertinent 1.5 mins:
The system just isn’t able to handle with a third party candidate at the Presidential level. I’d love to have more options. But breaking through the 2 party system has to start at the local and state level with people voting in independents and third party candidates. Changing the actual process of how we do elections is a prerequisite before we can start electing someone from President who isn’t R or D.
But I get it. A lot of RFKJr voters think the best way to show they are fed up with the system is to vote for someone who can’t win It sends a message.
I don’t know if that message is “we’re fed up with the 2 party system and the bad choices we’re given” or “I’m a kook and I want this kook running things”
RFKJR and Chris Christie should get some coffee…
Sounds like support for Kennedy has has pretty much collapsed, so I’m not sure this will make much difference, nor give him much leverage. If he supports Trump on the promise of some government position, he’d best keep in mind what Trump’s promises are worth… but I suspect there’s no such promise, because even if Kennedy didn’t know it, his backers certainly intended that his candidacy should help Trump.
Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how Trump accepts his support while simultaneously trying to distance himself from Kennedy.
I’d say it’s anomie rather than nihilism.
The carcass of his campaign will be dumped in Central Park sometime this weekend
The lighting in the picture of Romney is suitably sinister; like they have a late sitting at a table overlooking Hades.
