The promise of democracy — as well as the “American dream” — is equality of opportunity. Musk commits perjury — a felony — with impunity to delight his “proud” fans. But most us collectively yawn, exhausted and exasperated by story after story about rich assholes flouting our laws — laws intended to protect us 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 people like Musk.
Economic inequality and judicial inequality are cancers quickly devouring this country, and will be fatal if left untreated.
