Attorney General Jeff Sessions met with Russian ambassador during Trump campaign but didn't disclose

Maybe he was confused what the word “met” means. Words like those are tough to remember.

That’s the thing; if that was indeed the question (and I’m pretty annoyed if it was phrased that way, because of course it would have given him an out), then he does have plausible deniability. It’s… dishonest, but not lying.

Sessions said, “I didn’t have—not have communications with the Russians.”

I wish they still called each other by that in Russia.

Pictures of Trump molesting a child in a hot tub might, perhaps, have a slight chance to cause some republican members of Congress to say that he acted inappropriately. If the stars are right on the day it hits the news.

AZ Senator Jeff Flake was quite proud of his yes vote and said “…he is a good man who has always been courteous and thoughtful during our time as colleagues in the Senate. I am confident that he will apply the law, respect the Constitution, and work to keep the country safe.”

Ooh, I bet he’s red in the face now. Well, I’d like to think so but I don’t think he has any shame. He’s quite the enabler, you know.

This seems needed now as never before.

I’ll be very happy to see this guy recalled. He’s a scumbag in the first degree.

It’s the first thing that came to my diseased mind: Dems asked about his conversations in the context of the 2016 election–they didn’t ask, “Did you speak to any Russian Federation authorities in 2016/2017? If so, what was the conversation and why did you have it?” As long as it’s framed as “questions about the 2016 election”, in the background I can hear the Plausible Denial beast being paid and told where to show up.

“The way the Crimea sticks out like that is just a shame. Ukraine should be happy to get rid of it. Just saying.”
