Thanks, Rob. I’ll start adjusting my globes and maps accordingly.

Also, someone tell Randall. This needs to be Friday’s xkcd.

You would think this could be synchronized with the occasional leap - second on the calander. Put all the weirdnesses in one place, at one time, and celebrate the hell outta them!

Should we push it back into place?

Just fixed with my Sharpie.

Or at least tie it down. If it works for kangaroos…

"Tie me kangaroo down, sport,
Tie me kangaroo down."

Then, traditionally, there’s a shouted slur on the Aussies “love of animals”, and then the British tend to laugh a lot and not remember the rest of the words.

Nature tried putting all the weirdnesses in one place - and that’s how we ended up with Australia in the first place.

I guess they could call them the Ulurulayas.

(Try saying that after a few tinnies!)

Just checked Google Maps, it’s still there. On a map anywho…

Apologies. Despite getting my coat, received more inspiration from @RickMycroft

Except that it’s headed North-East. After crushing Papua New Guinea, running over Hawaii, it’ll slam into the west coast of North America. (By then California will probably be somewhere else.)

Spoilsport!

(In any case, I was riffing merely on the name when they rise wherever they do, not the location.)
