Charybdis is a vast and remote galaxy which was, for many ages, only home to a, “sparse scattering of homesteaders and recluses.”
During these early years many pioneering star traders sought their fortunes and settled in this great space.
Charybdis changed forever when Robert “Doc” Hoofler first discovered resource rich gas giants and bountiful ocean planets in the system. This led to a stampede of fortune hunters, confidence men, scoundrels, thieves, and dreamers. The population of Charybdis boomed and the rush for resources outpaced any sense of law and order. Charybdis operate under mob rule and the strong became the wealthy.
Only when their resources were threatened by the neighboring Intergalactic Coalition of United Planets did the citizens of Charybdis finally unite and form the first independent government.
Today, one year after our constitutional convention, the united space peoples of Charybdis live free lives unburdened by the heavy yolk of oppression.
The Game Begins
Each week on Monday, new missions will drop. You’ll buy upgrades for your ship, select a mission and try to survive another round. If you’re new here, check out the Rules & Gameplay from last time around.
The big difference this time around is the newly minted SpaceBits. They’ll appear as StarBits (MilliSpaceBits) in your wallet, just wanted to shift that decimal place over so you all feel a little more flush.
Also, I should mention Hats. Hats are the most coveted status symbol in the galaxy. You’re either a hat wearing badass or a hatless sap.
+---------- Ship ----------+-- HP ---+- FP -+- SH -+- EN -+- ST -+- LK -+- GRIT -+

Hat: NONE
StarBits: b-1.3
Additional Notes: You're in the hole. You owe bad people money.
Wouldn’t be the first time. The only thing that seems to vary is the amount of “bad people” and how much people are willing to put towards evening a debt. Sometimes it’s one guy and you can slip him a mickey in a bar and get some video of him waking up next to a chicken. Other times it’s a bunch of guys and just easier to pay them off with an actual job.

Well…now I see the state of our little flotilla, I can’t help but notice the Moral Flexibility was at the back of the queue when ship stats were being handed out. Looks like I could do with an upgrade, which means I need to go for the paydirt.
Gunrunning is more my style than playing delivery boy to self-styled Masters of the Universe, so…
Purchases
b10 - Unizone Cloaking Device (+2 ST)
b5.5 - Mission Cost for Mission 3, on credit
The first two numbers are the mission cost and mission reward.
The second three numbers describe the potential damage your ship will suffer.
The first number is the minimum possible. If the first number exceeds your ship’s hit points (HP), you will die.
The last number is the maximum possible. If your ship’s HP exceed this, you will live. The middle number is a crude estimate of the damage you are “likely” to suffer.
Today, any ship can afford and survive any mission, so my advice is to pick any mission that suits your fancy, BUT CHOOSE A MISSION.
