I thought this was going to be something sneaky. There was a BBQ place near my that was outside the city line, and so in a dry county. [Technically “■■■■■”–you could buy booze in package stores but not in restaurants or bars.] They had all kinds of soda, but didn’t serve grape soda. If you asked if they had grape soda they told you “no,” and explained what they served. But if you ordered tall grape soda (“and I’d like a tall grape soda with that, please”) with your meal, you got a beer in a soda cup.
