Bloomberg sued by aides for stiffing them on yearlong pay promise

From Politico:
Former campaign workers for Mike Bloomberg are suing the billionaire former presidential candidate for fraud, alleging in a nationwide class action lawsuit that as many as 2,000 employees were promised to be paid though the general election before he laid them off.

Guess we can add “doesn’t pay his workers” to the list of things Bloomberg and Trump have in common.

Billionaires don’t become billionaires by paying what they owe.

Yeah, he’s basically a bad Trump photocopy. 10% size reduction, 2000% wealth enlargement.

Good, he’s famously a shitty employer and shitty employers should have to pay when they break agreements.

That said, I’m not going to be brokenherted if they lose the suit. These were, after all, senior staffers for Bloomberg, true believers in the idea of Bloomie as president whose job it was to convince everyone else to join them in this belief. They earned twice as much as their counterparts for better candidates like Sanders and Warren, and their salaries lasted further beyond the end of Bloomberg’s run than did those of the staffers of other failed candidates. They could probably work in the same offices which have now been transferred to the DNC, but that would mean taking a cut down to the usual salary of such staffers, and possibly Biden or Sanders – whoever wins the nomination – wouldn’t want Bloomberg true believers running their regional offices.
