Hi! I found you guys my freshman year of university in ‘02 when I was messing around with my newfangled pre-smartphone electronic organizer thing and randomly clicked a strange sounding source in my news reader app, called boingboing, that also had some very interesting articles. Guess you guys had been around a while already in some form or another even at that point, the zine started when I was like 4 years old, I guess?? It’s been pretty interesting. Thank you, Mark!

I quit social media but kept on boinging. I even got to write something for the blog (a bit ragged, dang deadlines)
and I was a winner in the writing contest about weed:
so thanks for giving me space to write something worthwhile every now and then; the real godsend in that regard has been right here on the BBS, my absolute favorite part of BoingBoing!

Despite the advertising problems, it’s still impressive how timely this place remains. I was digging up an article to show someone else that I thought I’d seen just a little while ago - and the piece turned out to be 10 years old!
I hope in another 10 years time, there’s still enough wonderful things to make this place worth keeping up with!

Before you close the comments, I want to note that this is a “vicennial” event for Boing Boing (from the Latin vicesimus+annus = occurring every twenty years or lasting twenty years.) An interesting word that one don’t get to use very often.

And in response I’ll mention that I found YOUR excellent blog ( TYWKIWDBI) from some mention of it on the BB site many years ago.
There’s a lot of good stuff on the internet, and BB is one of the best ways to find those sources.
