  2. figured there was no possible way that’s who you meant;
  3. was going to make a comment “That made me think of Carla Bley;”
  4. come to find out that’s who you meant, after all.

This was my introduction to Carla Bley (all the way near the end, @ 3:19), although I didn’t realize it until years later.

Even better, it couldn’t be CGI because it looks cheap. Because, I guess, CGI only works with HD video, 1080p minimum.

Logolepsy’s link includes a version with the guy under the sheet just standing there grinning, before he was edited out.

Maybe the effect could be done with pure sleight-of-hand, but you appear to be mistaken about this particular video.
