It’s pathetic, really. The part of the US where I live is already ‘majority minority’ and unless birthrate statistics change suddenly, the Reconquista is all but done. All this anger, fear, and resentment is too little, too late, if the aim is preserving white hegemony in the USA. Cheeto Mussolini is causing plenty of grief, and is sure to cause more in the future, but not forever. The future of the US will not resemble 1859, nor even 1959.

Too true. BP have always been assholes. Not much different from the “militia,” IMHO. And working the border for years has only made them more cynical and entrenched. Troops coming fresh to the border zone may not be interested in disobeying orders, but they are not going to go out of their way to start a firefight. Scratching butts and digging latrines is more the order of the day. At least they will be less likely than BP to destroy aid caches.

And all the assumptions that these people are operating on are mostly false. Ask Alabama what happened when they passed all their immigration laws and how farmers suddenly had no workers. Applications for Irish citizenship from Americans apparently spiked immediately after the election. And haven’t come back down. Supposedly they’re seeing more applications than they’ve ever processed before. At the very least people are coming up with a backup plan.

Humanitarian aid was at least half of what I did in the military. A decent percentage of the balance was trying to protect civilian aid workers from the people they were trying to help.
And disaster relief. The 2004 tsunami relief effort was one of the most difficult things we did. There was exponentially more death there than I ever saw in combat.
