The best satire always contains a high percentage of truth.
True, true…
Oh, satire still exists?
I heard it had been brutally murdered by reality.
Not at all. They have become close friends and recently agreed to merge and share accommodations.
Obligs:
Satility?
Francois is an absolute twat and he’s the extreme brexiteer in that little exchange. I’m not sure about Self actually, i would say remain given his comments in the past on immigration and pound shop enoch powells like farage. But yeah, they both looked like dicks in that spat.
or perhaps “Retire”?
When I first saw a picture of Johnson (I had come across the name in news stories for years, but somehow hadn’t seen him until surprisingly late) I thought it was a picture of Matt Lucas (of Little Britain, etc.) done up as Trump for some kind of sketch.
There’s no solid proof you’re wrong.
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Choose wisely.
As I understand it, the British Palimentary system is understood fully by exceedingly few Britons and, perhaps, by God although I’d bet the Devil has a much better grasp on the thing.
So The European election results are in, and reality continues to be weird:
Speaking of reality… the brexiteers appear to be living in a different one to the rest of us given the interviews i’ve heard whereby they are claiming victory and supposed proof that the country as a whole wants to leave. Of course, the true reality is one wherein the remainers did amazingly well, i would say narrowly beating the leave lot if you combine the percentages of those parties who explicitly want to stop brexit. Polarised is certainly the word.
Yeah, lets look at these claims that the brexiters are making:
“Country as a whole wants to leave”
nope.
Claiming that they won:
nope.
Unfortunately, the remain voters are split amongst several parties while the brexiters have all voted for the Farageists, allowing them to claim victory.
The only couple of good things are the collapse of the conservative vote to under 10%, putting them in 6th place, and the complete failure of UKIP, who have gone full Nazi (Running the head of the EDL and Nazi pug man as candidates)
I should have linked to some of that stuff, the bbc has good stats for this kind of thing. Turnout was also 37%, up from the last EU elections but by no means stellar and certainly not enough to show a comparable referendum result. Pundits are debating which parties to combine for remain but all those are certain pro-remain and with the possible exception of change uk i would say they expressly want to stop brexit. I am glad that NSDAP UKIP have been more or less obliterated though.
