Somehow I don’t think even this will put paid to the “lone wolf” myth.

Wow, that is some NYT level mealy mouthing. It’s a forum where rascist hatred is engaged in and promoted :rage:

And, let’s not forget, apparently where racist terrorism was discussed and planned.

“Wolf in the henhouse” is more like it when it comes to too many LEOs and far-right ideology.

No kidding. We’re in a forum “where racist hatred [is] discussed “ right now. Seems a little different.

But just in case:
ARE THERE ANY RETIRED FEDERAL AGENTS IN THIS FORUM? IF SO, PLEASE SAY HI!

I am in awe of the fact that “I’m gonna drive some place where there are Black people and shoot some of them” is considered a ‘plan’. How long did it take him to come up with that one?

But you just know that this chucklefuck somehow dressed it up for the benefit of his admirers on 4chan or wherever it was:

“After making a tactical entrance through the entry point at the north-west end of the operational location, I intend to effectuate a phased advance to the cereal aisle, where I will engage melanin-rich targets of opportunity using my personal weapons load-out. I do not anticipate significant resistance at this stage of the mission, but if I encounter hostile forces I will conduct a tactical realignment to designated fallback area Tango Alpha Niner by the deli section. It’s a highly challenging and complex tactical mission, but with detailed prior target assessment and operational planning, I believe I can execute effectively and achieve my objectives with 100% success.”

“Godspeed, son. The White Nation thanks you for your heroic service.”

So in the end we have an admission from a retired federal agent that they like to hang around internet forums which support and enable domestic terrorism. It begged the question, what was he doing there in the first place.

We need your help in committing domestic terrorism. Do you have any pointers?

Not being an undercover agent looking to prevent crimes, I gather from the outcome.

This is becoming one hell of a week. When the dust settles, there might actually be a real push to reduce LE funding since they’re ineffective at best, actively harmful as their situation normal, and extremely malicious at their worst.

“one online friend who is believed to be a retired federal agent from Texas.“

Not informing the authorities of the crime after the fact and knowing about it could be a felony - misprision of a felony under federal law.

People should be investigated and possibly lose their pension as well if found guilty.

Retired, so he was doing this in his spare time. Which to me implies he was very interested in domestic terrorism…as a participant.

Are you a cop? You have to tell us if you’re a cop.

I actually heard someone using the “You have to tell us if you’re a cop” line on a dubious-looking individual at a protest. I just sighed.

As I recall, the man responded “Fuck off. I don’t have to tell you anything.”

(for the record, the man wasn’t a cop, he was a construction contractor – as was perfectly obvious if you took the trouble to look at his shoes)
