That sentiment is how we got into this horrible situation in the first place.

Orange County moneyCons might just swallow their distaste and vote for her, but the Know Nothings up in the “State of Jefferson” territory mean her candidacy will remain an attempt to revive her fading celebrity.

Unfair comparison. Lawyers presumably have experience relevant to law-making.

Not just no, but FUCK NO.

Jenner already seems ‘out of it’ pretty much any time I see her on tv; no way in hell is she qualified to hold office.

Just say NO to celebrity politicians.

Who exactly is Ms. Jenner’s fan base at this point? How many people exist within the Venn Diagram between MAGA Republicans and people who support transgender rights?

If a voter knows that electing Jenner is a terrible idea, that voter knows at least one thing.

This Newsom / Cal. Governor recall has risen from the depths of KKKpublican/Qnut hell the most likely to fail crowd, and in the end the public pays the tab. This recall statute needs to be removed for the safety of all who reside in California. Look up the list of more than 300 Nazi/Whackos/Qnuts, it’s a who’s who of the bottom of the barrel unfit to serve in public office.

As a trans woman who is a remarkably talented athlete aren’t Republicans terrified of her existence and morally opposed to her running in any race?

As well as the movie governors.

Add a third circle on that diagram for people who don’t support same-sex marriage and I’m pretty sure it shrinks down to single digits.

All too frequently we’ve encountered this ‘flow’: celebrity can’t manage to advance their celebrity status, so: politics (resisting naming it something akin to trumpopathy). And with very few exceptions this results in a very bad outcome. Politics, hate it or …hate it, is something which takes protracted training.

I’d vote for Betty Bowers, that lady has real style.

IF they actually stood for anything besides enriching themselves and staying in power, sure; they would be.

But now everything they do is a flagrant scam and they don’t even care enough to present a facade anymore.
