Oh my. Robinsonâs Bakery in Magog (the QuĂ©bec end of Lake Memphremagog, north of Newport VT) used to have butter tarts to die for. Doubt itâs still there after so many years. It was a little hole-in-the-wall bakery that did only three things - butter tarts, farmerâs bread and plain cake doughnuts - but did them perfectly.
Thereâs a pub near me sells poutinre. They cover it in crispy deep fried onions and it is crunchy and greasy and delicious.
