“With this ring and silver bracelets, I thou duly wed, you to be the bride, to the full wrath fury of the United States Justice System.”
Note: There is no consent required here, it is granted by the presiding judge.
So Bumble is protecting insurgents against the United States by removing the political affiliation identification? So daters on Bumble have to find out their potential date is a Nazi the hard way?
The filter for politics is/was optional, just like all the other filters; many people choose not to include it.
That’s how my wife and I were interpreting it. It seemed like an odd move.
That’s a pretty sweet honey trap!
(on Bumble, no less!)
I these anti-fascist patriots. I’m sure they’ll find workarounds to keep baiting. Add the letter Q as its own sentence. Something like that.
via The Sun:
Or, you know, if you’d like a link to the actual article: Women honey-trap Capitol rioters by matching on Bumble to send info to FBI
So, Zello was willing to look the other way when they were told their app was being used by racists and violence prone conspiracists to plan and execute anti-American operations (as per WNYU’s “On the Media” reporters) and Bumble cracks down on users trying to help law enforcement identify seditionists. Got it.
Is The Sun really the best news source that one could find here?
Oh, I really needed that laugh!
I remember reading stories about people catfishing ISIS 5 or 6 years ago. This is exactly like that.
I wondered what happened to all those trump / maga / right wing dating sites / apps we used to read about and… yeah, I just checked and they’re all dead.
Why would you EVER link to the Sun?
Many women on the dating app Bumble saw an opportunity to flush out into the open some of the looking-for-dates MAGA bro’s involved in the insurrection on the Capitol in Washington, D. C. by posing as conservatives.
Was this sentence ghostwritten by Yoda?
Except for the misplaced apostrophe in bro’s this is a completely grammatically correct sentence.
Or…Bumble just doesn’t want users to leave, even if they’re Nazis. Since the Nazis are outnumbered, a boycott by users who aren’t Nazis might get them to reconsider if their amoral brains have any common sense.
The word “misuse” is misused.
