I’ve only watched one episode of Archer, so I had no idea the crossover was that extensive.

It’s only two episodes. Archer runs away, and ends up in a pirate stronghold, and David Cross is an anthropologist in pirate prison with him. David Cross plays an anthropologist or linguist and is Archer’s whiny interpreter. For two episodes. Because Archer’s LaCrosse skills aren’t useful.
