Remember, he’s the person that was so boring a fly fell asleep on his head for two minutes during a debate.
It’s a blue dress shirt. Don’t oversell. It diminishes your intent.
Many recent Fords don’t have them, either.
It might still have been better than putting in a card and selecting a fuel, since that signals the pumps to loudly spew advertising.
As pointed out in the many many X threads whatever they are called, he also doesn’t pump gas. He just, ahem, jams it in and waits.
Says it all, really.
No, several million MAGAdiots are proof they no longer NEED to be good at marketing, they’ve got a captive audience they’ve trained to listen to only them. This commercial is inept, lazy, and a perfect example of how bad they are now. I despised Reagan, but that man’s PR people knew how to do advertising.
Well of course he didn’t pay for or pump any gas - with the price of gas lately, that would have like, tripled the budget for the ad.
His name is Pence, not Shillings or Pounds.
Also, is anyone else having the problem that the stupid close button they’ve added on those tweet embeds doesn’t work? (What’s that? It’s their logo now and not a close button? Why’d they put it where the close button goes?)
Came here to say my 2020 Jeep Cherokee has a spring-loaded flapper instead of a gas cap. Which is awesome, 'cause I’ve managed to lose a couple gas caps over the years. Not sure how wide-spread this design is, but I hope it becomes the norm.
The already-open door might be explained if there’s a lever in the cab to open it. Which seems to be a dumb idea given all the extra parts needed.
The lack of handle-squeezing and the pleading beeps from the pump is telling us he rarely pumps gas. Or maybe this is the umpteenth take and there’s no more room for gas?
JFC, I think I just started my day by defending Mike Pence. Must be a lack of coffee…
Lamest Pee-wee parody ever.
- doesn’t pay for gas - check
- doesn’t select fuel grade - check
- ignores that the pump is furiously trying to get his attention - check
- somehow gas cap is already off after he gets out of the vehicle - check
- doesn’t know how to use the auto-stop lever on the nozzle - check
SOMEHOW BECAME GOVERNOR, VICE PRESIDENT, AND NOW A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE
big red truck is a symbol for uncertainty about what is ahead. It is time for new changes. You are running out of fuel. The dream points to your desires to conform and fit in.
(See small dick energy).
… i.e. fracking, fracking, and a war with Iran?
This is really the GOP in a nutshell - pretending to drive a completely unnecessary, giant, macho, gas-guzzling vehicle (to mark oneself as a person of the land. The common clay of America. You know… a moron.), while also being unable to convincingly simulate the most basic of common activities, all to blame the president for things outside his control and announce a new political policy - that will destroy human civilization, just so certain companies can continue to maximize profit (until it all collapses).
The Aristocrats! The Republican Party!
What is it about ‘dead man walking’ right-wingers and petrol stations? Last year it was Rishi Sunak who not only had to borrow a more typical car than the plutocrat wagon he usually drives for a photo op, but was then unaware of how to use contactless payments which have been standard in the UK for - what, a decade now?

Yeah, clearly a war on energy since Biden took office /s
Also, as lazy as this ad is, the lack of a gas cap isn’t a problem. Ford, GM, Chevy, and Ram, at least all have capless fills on their trucks.
I was going to post the same thing. A few takes of him pantomiming the actions necessary to pump gas, some editing, and presto! A cohesive campaign ad.
Granted, it still wouldn’t fool anyone, but at least it wouldn’t have the production value of a Ring doorbell video.
You’d think there’d be a FAQ for that political stunt, and what to avoid.
(In Stanfield’s case, they’d been tossing around the football for a while, but the only thing that made the news was the one fumble.)
“Remember $2 gas?”
I remember $1.25 gas, right before Bush invaded Iraq, which led to $2 gas.
