I understand that actors like Lawless must cost a bit to keep on the show, but I still think it’s a shame they couldn’t keep her on for the back half of Season 4.

True I’d forgot they killed all of her off.

Well, not so much “killed off” as the last one was left behind (by her own choice) on Cylon-Earth.

Zöe Bell deserves a lot of that credit.

Well crap, I didn’t know about that. Bleh. I’ve had Hercules on my Netflix queue for a while, since I didn’t pick up the series in its original run until about half way though. I can get past an actor’s personal hangups … usually. (Still, think I’ll avoid anything new from him. Looking this up just now kind of turned my stomach a bit.)

She’s 48.

These dudes, still making action movies: (Please note I’m not commenting on quality of said movies.)
Liam Neeson - 64
Sylvester Stallone - 70
Arnold - 68

He’s doing what?!

That makes me…

Oh hell yes!

But my favorite “action actress” of all time, Michelle Yeoh. She not only did her own stunts, she did them in the same “OMG how are they still alive!” production atmosphere as Jackie Chan.

As seen in “God is Not Dead” playing an atheist (as imagined by a Jack Chick tract).

Lawless is definitely not too old to play an action hero, but 48 seems a little old to start a new Wonder Woman franchise. The character is usually portrayed as looking somewhere around age 30.

Lawless would have been a brilliant pick to cast as Wonder Woman’s mother Hippolyta though.

Am I the only one who is delighted as hell that longtime dramatic character actor Liam Neeson is now an action movie star?
This is the same guy who was nominated for best actor Oscar in Schindler’s List!

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold are now at the point where they are playing people “too old for this shit”. Not unlike Charles Bronson when he started doing Death Wish sequels for Cannon or Post Untouchables Sean Connery.

I can’t ever get past going all gooey from Ralph Fiennes whenever that movie comes up…

And to think, the two of them would not be reunited onscreen until the Clash of the Titans remake.

Anyone who hasn’t seen Double Dare yet should look into it.

You just reminded me to watch the rest of season 2 of Marco Polo.

Like a lot of Americans, she wasn’t really on my radar until Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. That fight scene is easily near the top of my favorites; it’s so full of emotional context. I’m used to how America makes the movies, where they’ll have an actor who can act and emote, or someone who can handle the physicality. She does both. Now that Donnie Yen is in Star Wars, let’s get Michelle Yeoh, please!

It’s so good. Benedict Wong is amazeballs.

I watched a current Police Story movie from Jackie. The end credits with all the stunt goofs were good at showing how he can use serious wire support now as it is edited out with CGI very easily. Still not some of the safest things to do but way safer than what he used to do. It was kind of neat to see that the amazing and crazy stunts were actually quite safe.
