Chick-fil-A slightly less homophobic now

They make sure homeless transgender people stay homeless, if that’s what you mean. I wouldn’t say that’s charitable though.

Was only trying to point out the loophole Chick Fil-A could use to keep funding Salvation Army. Wasn’t trying to imply their work on homelessness somehow offset their anti-LGBTQ activities.

Prominent conservatives tore into Chick-fil-a after the company’s announcement its charitable giving strategy for 2019 did not include anti-LGBTQ groups that the company has supported in the past

What’s wrong? I thought they liked and trusted the invisible hand of the market.

That’s a fair point. My problem is it is impossible to be consistent. I can take a stand with Chik-fil-a and sleep better at night - but the reality is my money has gone to fund other things I don’t like in various degrees. Almost EVERYONE gives to a political party I don’t agree with and may cause harm with their policies. Hell paying my taxes leads directly to murder. It is entirely possible the local fast food joint is run by member of the KKK or something, you never know.

I do agree with calling out bullshit when it is seen. But if you are consistent about it, one soon realizes it’s all bullshit.

I think in the case with CFA its easy to call bullshit on them because they make such a production over their Christian beliefs, so i feel like taking a definite stand against their anti-LGBT efforts is necessary. But as you say, nearly everything we encounter on a daily basis is problematic on some level but i do try to pick my battles. Yeah its silly to pick CFA as one of those hills to die on but the rights of LGBT folks matter to me.

Bit of a strawman problem. People aren’t demanding all people be ethically perfect in all their decisions when they say, “How about some of the people buying chicken from a place consider getting chicken somewhere else?”

It is entirely possible the local fast food joint is run by member of the KKK or something, you never know.

Yeah, don’t worry, I don’t think anybody’s asking you to boycott a specific place based on completely unknown potentialities.

Cynical. Plenty of things aren’t bullshit.
