I should partially blame this cartoon for my love of travel and classic films…“Oooh, I’m dyin’!”
People always give me odd looks when I exclaim “Oooh, I’m dyin’, again!” out loud, out of sheer frustration.
It’s like nobody was raised on the classics anymore.
Yeah, I’ve got friends who bought WB cartoons on DVD - just to make sure their kids could watch them. They’d been replaced on TV by Barney, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Teletubbies [shudders].
Guilty.
I also own classic Scooby Doo, the Electric Company and Schoolhouse Rock.
Absolutely!! When my kids were young, this was standard fare on a daily basis. The DVD collection was a little pricey at the time, but worth it several times over.
[Begins humming I’m just a bill]…
My only regret is that at the time I didn’t know that Disney had bought ABC, and so I inadvertently spent money with them.
(I assiduously avoid giving them any of my hard earned cash, if at all possible.)
The owls are not what they seem.
