I hope he follows it up with the DePanster™.
after use it doubles as a puppy trap.
Another human put out of work by the rise of automation.
It’s winter, never remove your socks in winter.
Now we need a sock darning device. Those sock toes aren’t gonna last long.
It might not be completely useless. There are people who have trouble bending down to reach their socks. Now we need a separate tool to help put them on.
I don’t think grabbing my sock toe and pulling would do more than stretch my socks out. The socks in the video didn’t look loose, but they’re looser than mine, apparently.
Dis device desocks!

But I am…
Surely, I’m not alone in using my other foot to hold down the toe of the sock I want to remove?
It does drive my spouse nuts when I do this, especially when the socks remain on the floor.
Mediven Butler has your back… erm… feet. I guess.
Compression hosiery can be difficult to put on, especially if you have limited dexterity.
And for all your sock removal needs, there’s Sockeez:
Indeed, I thought this seemed a little familiar.
Honestly i think there’s actually a market for this between people who might not have good hand strength/dexterity, might not be able to bend over, don’t have hands or full use of them, etc.
I’ve also seen crapgadgets to put socks on without hands for the same reasons but the ones i’ve seen online in youtube vids appeared poorly conceived and cheaply made.
This looks horrible for sock wear. Enjoy your toe-holes.
What about the device that puts my socks on?
Once I learned that most of the stupid as-seen on TV crapgadgets that did ridiculous things… were actually ability devices for differently abled folks who had trouble doing daily activities, my humor at them fairly much disappeared.
Suddenly the sock appliers, back scratchers, extended shoe horns, egg peelers, assorted specialized cooking tools, and all that stuff have become sad reminders of how much we take our abilities for granted.
There’s a reason it’s advertised on daytime TV and senior channels; and it’s not just because seniors are more likely to be scammed.
Yeah as far as i know the reason they are widely advertised is that if it were sold to its primary niche audience they wouldn’t be able to mass produce the gadgets and offer them for a reasonable price to said intended audience.
I do find the marketing for the products funny, but i think its clear they play that up on purpose.
I’ll applaud when the video is one continuous shot. There are important milliseconds missing.
