Your analysis is more on the mark. It is creeps on the Internet who behave in the way I describe. One expects extreme partisans of the rotting pumpkin to be arseholes, of course, but every candidate has jerks who’ll respond to valid critiques (e.g. “Clinton is too reliant on big-money donors”) with completely unrelated retorts (e.g. “you must hate women”). It’s just more jarring to hear that coming from supporters of a candidate who herself is reasonable.
This was a Catholic charity dinner, not a protestant one. The correct derogatory term is “Papist”
Tiffani is my favorite Trump. Marla’s contribution diluted the stepford affect the rest of the family has. I hope she makes it out ok after all this.
It was a Catholic charity dinner, but a lot of those tables were puuuuuuure WASP.
Nope. Herr Drumpf heralded himself unto doom, why?
Hubris.
Phones work?
So crafty.
I’m sure she does, and that they are exactly the same.
Most people have fronts
Have you been human lately?
I will vote for her.
How loudly will you cheer for her new wars, and her less overt invasions in countries that have not attacked the US? Did you cheer along with her over, say, the decimation of Libya? Or the coup she supported in Honduras?
I’ll take potential danger years out over immediate, PROMISED danger right now.
To be fair, given the noise Trump is making over rigged elections, we may get that danger anyway.
Yes, I know, I know too well, how our being faced yet again with the Evil of Two Lessers means that yet again, we mustn’t pay much attention to the better lesser’s evils.
Some of us have been in survivor mode for a very long time. Be glad you have the ability to look at a farther horizon.
This is around the most giant of all crocks. The differences between these two candidates is immense. You are talking about a rotten, fetid, bloated corpse for dinner, or eggs 1 week past their expiration date.
One is still perfectly fine, and you are led to believe it is bad due to decades of marketing training you to believe in expiration dates. The other is rotten meat.
I don’t think that means we can’t criticize Clinton for her centrist politics, though. That’s the only thing that’s going to keep pressure on her to make sure the left of the party is actually listened to. @anon15383236’s position is pretty common among many progressives and I don’t think that they are advocating for supporting Trump at all.
Give him enough rope, he’ll tie his own knot!
Absotively.
Get her elected, preferably in a landslide.
Elect progressives down-ticket.
Then hold her feet to the fire for the next two years (and to be fair, with a progressive Congress I think she’d be perfectly happy to govern progressively) so that progressives will turn out again in the mid-terms and we don’t end up with a total deadlock again.
