Which I think means that he thought he could get a job at Newsmax or Fox but while statutory rape or being a douchey pinhead is certainly not grounds for dismissal at those outlets, it’s not something they are currently hiring for.

Just because they’re anonymous doesn’t mean they’re non-credible. No Republican congresscritter wants to be the first to go on the record claiming that Gaetz showed them possibly underage nude photos years ago and they said nothing.
It seems very unlikely CNN would open themselves to legal liability by making this up or reporting info from people who would be likely to be making it up.
