Tuck says whatever he thinks he has to say in the moment to make friends, keep his job, etc. Just like the Orange One he has proclaimed to hate, it has all the weight of truth in the second he says it and no value the next second.
This doesn’t mean he isn’t an absolute and utter ass. I just think the distinction is important.
