It’s an object lesson in journalism. The original story mentioned here on BoingBoing only discussed the police’s actions, stating only that RJ was allegedly trying to help the girl.
This version at least partially exonerates the police of overreaction and hyperviolence, and definitely casts the Congresscreature in a less altruistic light.
