Continuing coronavirus happenings (Part 2)

I have no idea. But the adepts of these drugs are inventing new ways to take the pills. Some people are reducing the tablets to powder and inhaling them. Doctors warn that this can cause lung damage and if the person is contaminated with Covid, the results may be the worst possible.

Edit:

Ah, the president praised this ā€œtherapyā€.

At this rate, I’m looking at May. PA is still on 1A, and progress is slow.

Thing is, I’m not sure that everyone in the first tier has gotten vaccinated yet. Demand is high in and around ATL, but much lower elsewhere, so we’re getting 70% of the next batch of doses.

He might be jumping the gun, as I’m not sure everyone in the first two groups have been vaccinated, but I’m guessing the over-65s who haven’t been are Trumpers who won’t get it anyhow.

Today was an upsetting day of remembrance in the UK.
I suspect there’ll be many more to come for all of us.

I was quite taken with this since it’s kinda close to home.

It varies so much from place to place. Where we are, pretty much anyone who qualifies can get a shot, while in NOVA, there are folks who have been on waiting lists for weeks who still can’t get one. :man_shrugging:

Please do not do this at home - Without scientific support, former governor of RondƓnia defends the use of electric welding against Covid.

Pretty sure I’m not equipped to. I do have a small Van de Graaf generator, though; what will that help to treat, cure, or prevent?

According to the article, the creator of the video attributed to the bright flash of the electric welder the remission of covid symptoms in patients undergoing the shocking healing process. If it is bright, I think it could do the job.

You’ve got to just kind of shine a light up in there.

Have we seen anybody trying to sell their crypto currency as a COVID cure yet?

I got an NFT of a vaccine jpeg I can sell you but we are going to need to consume the total energy of the sun in order to process the transaction.

Reading that article, it occurred to me that my father, who was born in 1916, was two years old during the 1918 flu pandemic. I don’t know if he or his family had the flu then (I’ll have to ask my siblings if they know).

I myself was two years old during the 1957 flu pandemic. One of my earliest memories is from then. Everyone in our 5-person family was sick with the flu at the same time. I remember seeing my mother laying flat out on the couch in the living room. That was disturbing, because she never laid down during the day. I went up to her, asking for something to drink, and she mumbled I’m too sick to get up. You’ll have to get it yourself. I remember going to the refrigerator and getting something out and pouring it for myself, which was the first time I’d ever done that. By the way, all five of us survived.

my grandfather was 17 when the ā€œspanish fluā€ pandemic started and he was 18 by the time it made it to his part of texas. he never caught it but several of his cousins died from it. he remembered helping with gravedigging for a dozen funerals held in a day in the sparsely populated, rural community he was part of.

A few things about this.

  1. This county is more conservative than Staten Island

  2. The Bronx and Kings Island has extremely low vaccinations numbers (Orleans is 19.2%, Bronx is 19.4% & Kings Island is 19.6%) which should be extremely concerning for NYC medical professionals and establishments.
