Yes, it is highly suspicious that the one manufacturer they did not pay off looks like it may be the one to come up with something that might work. Highly suspicious, but not in the way he is trying so hard to imply. I suspect their incompetence is contagious is what I suspect.
ETA but did take German govât backing. If it pans out (28 days after one dose is encouraging in a 2 dose vaccine, and 22+k doses with no side effects is also encouraging. I would caution neither is definitive, though.)
Sooooo⌠Pence loves to complain about socialism, but this vaccine came from mostly private money and now Pence is trying to take credit for a public program Pfizer didnât use?
Damn⌠conservative thought is confusing.
I think I see your problem.

Itâll really be something if the guy who claims nobody has ever done more for Black Americans manages to kill his only two Black friends.
Ok, Iâm continuing my Clarence Thomas watchâŚ
Never happen. Trump has no friends.
Yeah. They cover all their bases. If you want to be suspicious about timing, youâve got the DJTJ line of attack. If you want to feel hopeful and celebrate, hereâs something for you.
Since they constantly contradict themselves, they can always find a statement to point to and say, âSee??? We were right!
It was also developed by a German company with a grant from the German government. Pfizer provide the money and the infrastructure, BioNTech actually developed the vaccineâŚ
Lady Phillips, the wife of mining baron Lionel Phillips, warned that unless they made some contribution to this city, their names would live in infamy. So a number of collections of Dutch lace and oil paintings were given to the gallery, which now kind of molder there. And the gallery itself, in a difficult part of town, is in a state of terminal decline. Thatâs true physically of the building itself as wellâthe roof leaks, the beautiful Edwin Lutyens building is looking very shaky. The film is also about a demoralized institution, which gets no city support, and in which the staff themselves are demoralized as well. During the more than six months of COVID, the museum has made no effort to do anything online, to do anything at all.
And then at three in the morning, I do the math: say my studio is six meters high and I lodged the ceiling to, say, seven and a half meters of height, and called that the population of the world. Then if I drew a thin line with a red pencil where the floor meets the wall, that would be the number of people who have died of COVID, compared to the seven and a half meters of height of the studio. So thatâs a kind of stupid exercise I go through in the middle of the night.

Sure, there are. Here are 5 apt ones:

The governmentâs desperate attempt to salvage something from Christmas (which everyone seems to have agreed starts as early as you want this year, have at it, you deserve it) is gradually paying off.
Dublin is disappointingly stable, the border counties are coming down though, they were very high. North coming down as well. About twice the rate of down here last I checked.
Not in the figures here but 7 day positivity rate in tests down below 4%, it was over 9 at one point, so that would make todayâs rate somewhere between 2 and 3 I guess. On track for around 1 next week which is a relief after track and trace couldnât keep up for two days a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago we were doing nearly 40% more tests too. I imagine a lot more places will be doing partial lockdowns again.
