The mutations look like they’re not too far afield. I am upping my confidence to 95% that these mutations have not let Covid get past the reach of our new vaccines.

Yes, I could be totally wrong here. I’m not a virologist. (Just an alien visiting for a while.)

“This pressure has caused several Banner hospitals to halt or significantly reduce elective surgeries and procedures,” Bessel said. “I want to remind you that elective surgeries can include things like mastectomies for cancer, gallbladder surgeries for infections and hip replacements. These are medically necessary procedures that if delayed for too long, can result in medical complications that then require hospitalization in intensive care.”

Bessel is continuing to advocate for further safety guidelines at the state level. At a press conference last week, Gov. Doug Ducey made clear he isn’t implementing any further statewide mitigation efforts as the virus rages through Arizona.

Every day I’m more and more surprised that there haven’t been massive hospital strikes in AZ and FL.
I know HCWs have dedicated their careers to healing, but even they (you) are human. I don’t know how they keep showing up for this :frowning:
But thank you for continuing to show up. We don’t deserve you.

Pay rates for working at privatized health care institutions that pay just enough to keep HCWs trapped in a cycle they can’t easily escape?
