But I thought all the dashing men in camo had it sorted.

because it’s insane. i know there aren’t many good options, but at least mobilize military nurses first. this choice is only going to make things worse in the long run

I don’t even have thoughts & prayers for him.

I do, but I’m not allowed to share them here.

I guess a curse could be considered a prayer.

I think that’s considered a hex…

Uncanny valley they say…

Edit:

I included a link to a video.

I remember watching him painting these masks on a tv show a week ago.

SMFH, :man_facepalming:

What the hell are they thinking??? We have been here before, you idiots!!

They are thinking, “My stock value is worth other people dying”, which is what they have always thought and always will think.

Oh, I am sure they thought this time would be different. You know “lightning never strikes the same place twice”.

I guess I take it more personally. They are thinking “it is worth me and my staff dying.” At a time when our hospitals, ICU’s and healthcare system in general are verging on collapse, this shit is flat out unforgivable. Many many more than these privileged assholes will die. “They were all tested prior to boarding.” Great, because people who are stupid enough to get on a cruise ship right now would never do stupid things to put themselves at risk between testing and boarding, would they? :exploding_head: :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Mt. Thielsen gets struck by lightning thousands of times a year.

Oh no!

Brace yourselves for the 2nd wave!

By the way, thanks for the info. It must be such a cool place to visit (in a clear sunny day). The fulgurite rocks are crazy!

There are some cool videos of multiple simultaneous lightning strikes there on YT.

I wonder if some of those swimming cities will be converted to hospitals soon.

Maybe one will be re-named Empress of Madagascar.

Not only is Ohio not a swing state anymore, we’re evidently a bunch of covidiots also. (or does one imply the other…?)

You have my genuine sympathy; not a day goes by when I’m not thankful a/f that I moved away as soon as I got the chance.

Let’s take a look at how poorly isolated, religious rural communities are doing with regards to the virus and the lack of social distancing at church

“We have never before seen restrictions as severe, extensive and prolonged,” he (Alito) said, and added that the pandemic has resulted in “previously unimaginable restrictions on individual liberty.”

Never? I can think of a number of demographics who might dispute this finding, you asshole. Wearing a mask and limiting social contacts is so much more “severe, extensive and prolonged” than what has been inflicted on BIPoC, LGBTQ and other minority communities over the life of this country? You are talking about inconveniences. To compare this to slavery, Japanese internment, miscegenation laws, Asian exclusion, and I could go on is just beyond belief. Wear your fucking mask, you prick.
